"The Legend of Gurthang" is an original story set in Tolkien's Middle Earth, inspired by and loosely based on The Children of Hurin, by J.R.R. Tolkien and Christopher Tolkien.

Set in the Second Age at the height of the War of the Last Alliance, this story follows a man from the kingdom of Arnor, on his lone mission to the far island of Tol Morwen, to find and retrieve Gurthang, a legendary sword of great power once owned by Turin, son of Hurin.

*This is a FAN-FILM, made purely for entertainment, and as a tribute to Professor Tolkien's impactful work. No one involved with the project is profiting from it in any way, and all rights to The Children of Hurin belong to the Tolkien Estate. I am an independent filmmaker with a low-income, and I spent much of that income on the making of this fan-film, purely for the enjoyment of my friends and family.*
